http://revues-msh.uca.fr/kairos/index.php?id=686 Resumen: El estudio que se presenta centra su atención en la relación entre el Quijote, la célebre obra cervantina, y la publicación Hazañas bélicas, uno de los mejores exponentes del género bélico dentro del cómic español. Su éxito hizo que gozara de una situación privilegiada dentro del mundo de las historietas en los años centrales de la dictadura franquista, cuando el control sobre la producción artística fue más intenso. A lo largo de los centenares de números que fueron publicados, se van narrando breves episodios ocurridos en conflictos armados como la Segunda Guerra Mundial o la guerra de Corea, todos bajo el prisma de la censura impuesta.Es precisamente en esos dos conflictos bélicos en los que se ha constatado la presencia de la estela de Cervantes, ya que en dos de las historietas publicadas se alude directamente al Quijote, hasta el punto de consolidarse como el elemento que resuelve la situación que plantea.Estas curiosas apelaciones a la obra llevaron inevitablemente a la necesidad de plantear una serie de interrogantes al inicio de la investigación: ¿qué intención se perseguía al incluir tales alusiones literarias dentro del trascurso de la historieta? ¿existe alguna referencia real a los hechos que se narran o es puramente ficticio? ¿qué papel jugó la obra cervantina en la transmisión de la información a los lectores? ¿es un hecho aislado de esta publicación o existen otros ejemplos?Para poder responder a estas cuestiones se ha recurrido a las importantes colecciones que atesora el Centro de Estudios de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), institución de referencia en la documentación referente a la obra y al personaje cervantino donde, además de la serie de publicaciones estudiada, se conservan decenas de tebeos con la presencia del célebre Don Quijote. Abstract: The study presented here focuses on the relationship between Don Quixote, the famous work of Cervantes, and the publication Hazañas bélicas, one of the best examples of the war genre in Spanish comics. Its success made it enjoy a privileged position in the world of comics during the central years of Franco’s dictatorship, when control over artistic production was more intense. Throughout the hundreds of issues that were published, brief episodes from armed conflicts such as the Second World War or the Korean War are described, all of them under the perspective of the imposed censorship.Precisely, it is in these two wars where the presence of Cervantes’ stele has been noted, since two of the published comic strips make direct references to Don Quixote, to the point of consolidating it as the element that solves the situation.These curious appeals to the book inevitably led to the need to ask a series of questions at the beginning of the research: what was the intention behind including such literary references within the course of the comic? is there any real reference to the facts that are narrated or is it purely fictional? what role did Cervantes’ work play in the transmission of information to readers? is it an isolated event from this publication or are there other examples?In order to answer these questions, we have made use of the important collections of the Centre of Studies of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), an institution of reference in the documentation of Cervantes’ work, where, in addition to the series of publications studied, dozens of comic books with the presence of the famous Don Quixote are preserved.
