Cet article examine le rôle et l'impact de deux initiatives communautaires en France et au Luxembourg – Le Biau Jardin et OUNI – qui mettent en pratique les principes de la décroissance. Ces cas illustrent la capacité des modèles économiques alternatifs et de l’ESS à promouvoir la durabilité environnementale, l'équité sociale et la résilience communautaire, défiant ainsi les normes dominantes. Le Biau Jardin, une coopérative agricole, et OUNI, la première épicerie sans emballage au Luxembourg, démontrent que l'adoption de pratiques de propriété collective, de production et de consommation locales, qui respectent les limites biophysiques de la Terre, est non seulement viable mais essentielle pour le bien-être humain et planétaire. À travers une démarche ethnographique, incluant une observation participante et des entretiens menés sur plusieurs années avec des acteurs clés, nous analysons comment ces initiatives s'adaptent et prospèrent au sein d'un système capitaliste en adoptant des structures organisationnelles novatrices, des stratégies de financement adaptées et une gestion participative. Notre étude révèle les dynamiques complexes entre ces entreprises communautaires et le système capitaliste, tout en soulignant les interactions enrichissantes avec les citoyens engagés dans le mouvement de la décroissance. Ce travail met en évidence à la fois les défis et les possibilités que rencontrent les entreprises cherchant à incarner les idéaux de la décroissance, offrant des perspectives précieuses sur la voie vers un avenir plus durable et équitable. Abstract: In the quest for sustainable futures, the concept of degrowth offers logics that challenge the prevailing growth-oriented economic paradigm. This article delves into the role of two community-led initiatives in France & Luxembourg embodying and advancing the principles of degrowth: Le Biau Jardin in France and OUNI in Luxembourg. We have identified these enterprises as critical case studies in exploring the potential of enterprises operationalizing degrowth through their alternative practices prioritizing environmental sustainability, social equity, and local resilience. Le Biau Jardin, a cooperative farming initiative, and OUNI, Luxembourg's first zero-packaging grocery store, illustrate how alternative economic models can contribute to degrowth by fostering practices of collective ownership, local production, and consumption that respect ecological limits and prioritize human and planetary well-being. Drawing from our own personal involvement as well as ethnographic investigation comprising of participant observation and expert interviews spanning over several years, this paper analyzes how these enterprises navigate the complexities of existing within a capitalist system while embodying degrowth values through innovative organizational structures, financing as well as their operations and governance. This investigation highlights the opportunities and challenges faced by community-led enterprises in advancing degrowth objectives, shedding light on the intricate relationship between enterprise and degrowth in the current economic context. By examining the strategies these enterprises employ to maintain their commitment to social and environmental objectives, the article contributes to the ongoing debate on the feasibility of enterprises in a degrowth economy and their role in a transitioning towards degrowth. Si les appels à la recherche de la justice sociale et les propositions politiques allant dans ce sens sont légion, ils manquent toutefois d'articulations et d'une vision d'ensemble. Or, pour que la post-croissance puisse s’installer comme nouveau paradigme de justice sociale et écologique, le mouvement a besoin de sa propre théorie de la justice, compatible avec le cadre d’analyse de la post-croissance. Ce texte propose ainsi d’ouvrir une discussion sur la constitution d’une théorie de la justice dans un monde post-croissance. Abstract: The political project of post-growth agrees on the importance of creating a fairer society. Although calls for the pursuit of social justice and political proposals are legion, they lack articulation and an encompassing vision. If post-growth is to establish itself as a new paradigm of social and ecological justice, the movement needs its own theory of justice consistent with the analytical framework of post-growth.
