Dans ce contexte, cette thèse développe une théorie du changement centrée sur le pouvoir, constatant que la littérature sur la décroissance a peu investigué les entraves aux transformations ou leur potentiel d'ampleur systémique face à l'accumulation du capital. Examinant et repensant les relations entre l’accumulation du capital et la décroissance, conceptualisant les dynamiques clés de transformation et de résistance, et élaborant des scénarios exploratoires, cette recherche s'appuie sur une approche interdisciplinaire, processuelle et systémique. Inspirée principalement par la théorie Capital as Power, la thèse conceptualise la transition comme une confrontation entre transformation et sabotage. La thèse offre une perspective originale sur les défis et possibilités de transition vers la décroissance dans un contexte capitaliste, invitant à un renouvellement de la pensée du changement socio-écologique et à une confrontation directe avec la dynamique du pouvoir capitaliste. Abstract: Making degrowth emerge from the confines of capitalism remains a major challenge. In this context, this thesis develops a power-centred theory of change, noting that the literature on degrowth has done little to investigate the obstacles to transformations or their potential for systemic scale in the face of capital accumulation. Examining and rethinking the relationship between capital accumulation and degrowth, conceptualising the key dynamics of transformation and resistance, and developing exploratory scenarios, this research draws on an interdisciplinary, processual and systemic approach. Inspired principally by the theory of Capital as Power, the thesis conceptualises transition as a confrontation between transformation and sabotage.
