En se penchant sur ce roman, notre recherche se propose d’étudier les éléments qui permettent de rapprocher la destruction du Carlton de l’apocalypse de la société bucarestoise de l’époque. Pour ce faire, nous analyserons, par exemple, des références à la Bible, des personnages individuels et collectifs, les images des dégâts attribués au séisme. Our article is about Cezar Petrescu’s novel entitled Carlton (1944), which is inspired by the collapse of the eponymous building during the 1940 earthquake. In dealing with this novel, our research aims at studying the elements which underlie the connection between the destruction of the Carlton and the apocalypse of the Bucharest society of the time. Personnage complexe, figure solitaire et marginale, l’apiculteur oppose à la cruauté et la haine des hommes, qu’il s’agisse de la folie destructrice des nazis ou du terrorisme hypocrite des frères musulmans la résilience de l’apiculteur auquel les abeilles donnent un sentiment de sécurité et de sérénité. Ainsi le portrait tendre et poétique de l’apiculteur sert une allégorie politique et une leçon de tolérance. In this article the author examines beekeepers in times of war in the novels of Norbert Scheuer, Christy Lefteri and Yamen Manaï. A complex character, a solitary and marginal figure, the beekeeper contrasts the cruelty and hatred of mankind, whether it be the destructive madness of the Nazis or the hypocritical terrorism of the Muslim brothers, with the resilience of the beekeeper to whom the bees give security and serenity. Cinq films (Up in the Air, Le Terminal, Tombés du ciel, Décalage horaire et Stand-by) servent d’exemples à l’analyse des remises en question provoquées par le séjour provisoire. Abstract : The representations of the airport reality find in literature and cinema a way to express the involuntary transitory stay in the hypermodern and commercial space experienced by uprooted and lonely characters in the surprise of ruptures and encounters.
